DTN COMMENTS:  Formula totals for last week: KS 64,543(-1,801), NE 38,486(-
2,981), TX 74,037(+9,595). Total trade volume:  KS 73,505(-2,919), NE 
54,351(-19,876), TX 75,929(+8,214). New showlists appear to be mixed, higher 
in Nebraska/Colorado, but lower in Kansas and Texas. Bids and asking prices 
have yet to be established, and significant trade volume will likely be 
delayed until the second half of the week.

Beef cutouts are higher at midday, especially on select cuts, (Choice 392.25 
+1.98, Select 389.22 +4.22), with very light box movement (18.90 lds of 
choice cuts, 4.75 lds of select cuts, 0.00 lds of trim, and 3.92 lds of 
ground). Cattle futures at midday are mostly modestly to sharply lower, while 
feeder issues are mostly sharply lower.
